On September 30 and October 1, the Special Committee for the Review of the Charter and Regulations (CER) of the Organisation of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS) will be holding the seminar “State Participation in Corporations and the Control of Supreme Audit Institutions” in Montevideo, Uruguay, to be chaired by Uruguay’s Court of Accounts.
The meeting aims to share experiences on issues of control by our SAIs and AIs, of commercial companies of which the State is a partner, in order to identify good practices for the development of the institutional capacities of SAIs and to allow the transfer of knowledge between them.
The event will be attended by representatives from national and/or subnational external control bodies from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Peru, Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
Through videoconferencing, Professor Jaime Pinto Santiago, a member of the Senior Legal Corps, Castilla-La Mancha, will discuss “commercial companies under public control and administrative contracting – a comparative view of the Spanish legal system and the European Union”.
The seminar was declared to be of touristic interest by the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism (Resolution 1270/15 of September 7, 2015).
The activity is included in the Committee’s 2015 Annual Operating Plan.
