The 11th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on the Value and Benefits of SAIs (WGVBS), was held in Kingston, Jamaica, from September 19 to 21, 2018. It was chaired by David Rogelio Colmenares Páramo, Auditor General of the Federation of Mexico and President of OLACEFS. The aim of the meeting was to analyze the progress made on the projects of the working group since its last meeting, held in September 2017 in Mexico City. The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the new initiatives to be incorporated into the regular duties of the WGBVS.
Attendees included 29 participants from 14 member SAIs, namely: China, Ecuador, France, Hungary, Iraq, Jamaica, Kuwait, Mexico, Namibia, Peru, Portugal, South Africa Tanzania and the United States of America, as well as representatives from the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The exchange of ideas and experiences from the gathering will form the basis of the report that India’s SAI, presidency of INTOSAI Goal 3, will present at the 71st meeting of the organization’s governing board, to be held November 15 – 16. 2018, in Moscow, Russia.
