From November 18 to 20, 2019, in the city of Lima, the 2020-2022 Tactical Planning Workshop and the Workshop on Socialization of Communication Strategies of OLACEFS and Interest Groups on Environmental Topics were held, events organized by the Presidency of the Organization, with the support of the German Cooperation, through the GIZ, within the framework of the OLACEFS-GIZ Memorandum of Understanding for the strengthening of external control in environmental matters.

The Tactical Planning Workshop was an opportunity to work on a joint proposal of OLACEFS’ 2020 – 2022 Tactical Plan, which considers and involves the interaction of new initiatives, projects, challenges and opportunities in emerging topics, aimed at regional and sub-regional interrelationships, carried out through various group dynamics and works. During the workshop, the participants identified the various key factors that would allow the fulfilment of the 2017-2022 Strategic Plan.

On the other hand, the Workshop on Socialization of Communication Strategies of OLACEFS and Interest Groups on Environmental Issues had the objective of raising awareness among the representatives of OLACEFS’ technical bodies, as well as Subregional Groups, on the challenges of OLACEFS and COMTEMA communication strategies, encouraging the incorporation of communication actions in the different work areas, aligned with OLACEFS’ strategy. During the workshop, the Online Course “Communication Strategies for Audit Products” was shared, which seeks to encourage training at the technical body and SAI level.

Both workshops were conducted in a participatory and collaborative manner among the participants, who were represented by the SAI of Peru in its capacity as Presidency of the OLACEFS and the Citizen Participation Commission (CPC), the SAI of Chile as Executive Secretariat and chair of the Public Works Audit Working Group (GTOP), SAI of Argentina as chair of the Information Technology and Communications Commission (CTIC) and Technical Commission of Good Governance Practices (CTPBG), the SAI of Brazil as chair of the Capacity Building Committee (CCC) and the Special Technical Commission for the Environment (COMTEMA), the SAI of Ecuador as chair of the Working Group Specialized in the Fight against Transnational Corruption (GTCT), and the SAI of Mexico as chair of the Working Group on Disaster Management Auditing in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (GTFD). The SAIs of Guatemala and Argentina also participated as Chair of OCCEFS and Executive Secretariat of EFSUR, respectively; as well as the Ge
rman Cooperation GIZ.
