As the OLACEFS community is aware, the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru presided over the OLACEFS Capacity Building Committee (CCC) from 2008 to 2015. This report will enlighten all OLACEFS member SAIs on the work carried out under their management.
The document contains an historical overview of the beginnings of the Committee, originally known as the Regional Training Committee, formed in 1999 by agreement 214/02/99 of the 19th OLACEFS Board Meeting, following the Strategic Planning Workshop organized jointly by IDI-INTOSAI and OLACEFS, in Lima, Peru, in 1998. Also included are the documents and details on actions undertaken for the common good of the OLACEFS community. Another issue addressed refers to the professional needs of the different SAIs, which led to a radical change in the approach of the Committee and the change of name from the Regional Training Committee (CCR) to the Capacity Building Committee (CCC), responding to the need for the building of professional skills not only for individuals but for the institutions themselves.
Through this document Peru’s CGR also wants to show the various activities and lines of action implemented under their mandate and according to the three pillars that have underpinned the work of the Capacity Building Committee (CCC) recently.
- Professional Development, through training via on-site courses, courses at other venues, online courses, special courses and practical training courses.
- Knowledge Management, through the Knowledge Management System (KMS).
- Incorporation of Good Practices, through adopting international standards (3i Programme, CBC Guidelines) and the use of assessment tools (SAI-PMF and IntoSAINT).
Inspired by the mission, vision and values of the CCC, Peru’s CGR offers the OLACEFS community a compendium on its management, which can be found by clicking below:
