Today, Friday, May 18, 2018, theLXVII Meeting of the Board of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS) is taking place in the city of La Paz.
Representatives from the six Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) that make up the Board of Directors – Mexico, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Argentina and Chile, in their capacity as Executive Secretariat -, along with the presidencies of Committees, Commissions and Working Groups and representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) will be discussing an extensive agenda. Issues for deliberation include the follow-up process for the strategic organizational plan 2017-2022, reporting on the activities carried out during the period, activities scheduled to be carried out in 2018, the status of members with outstanding debts, the progress of the OLACEFS-GIZ regional cooperation project on environmental matters, progress in the organization of the XXVIII OLACEFS Ordinary General Assembly, and the international cooperation of OLACEFS with other regional groups and with INTOSAI.
It should be noted that Chile’s SAI, in its capacity as Executive Secretariat, once again expressed its intention to extend its mandate for an additional three years (2019-2021), which should be decided on at the XXVIII OLACEFS Ordinary General Assembly, which will take place in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.
