To take place in Havana, Cuba on April 28 and 29
By mandate of the 23rd OLACEFS Ordinary General Assembly held in Santiago de Chile between December 9 – 12, 2013, a CEPAT – CTRC meeting will take place with the aim of setting up a workshop to work out details for the merger of the two commissions and develop a plan for 2014 – 2015 of the resulting new commission.
Proposed aims include the following:
- To take stock of the work plans of the Special Technical Committee on Public Ethics, Administrative Probity and Transparency (CEPAT) and the Technical Committee on Accountability (CTRC), identify the main products, goals and strategies deployed over recent years.
- To review, adjust and define the terms of reference of the new commission, integrating accountability, integrity, anti-corruption, transparency and probity issues.
- To draw up goals, products and activities of the new Commission for the period 2014 – 2015 and link them to OLACEFS Strategic Plan.
Representatives from the SAIs of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela will attend the meeting, as well as a representative from the Honourable Court of Accounts of the Province of Buenos Aires.
An advisor from the OLACEFS-GIZ Programme will also be present at the event to lend assistance.
This activity is financed directly by the OLACEFS budget, with support from the OLACEFS-GIZ Programme and the kind cooperation of the Comptroller General’s Office of the Republic of Cuba.
