The face-to-face phase took place over three months in Mexico ASF
The OLACEFS Capacity Building Committee (CCC) is pleased to announce the closing of the face-to-face phase of the third edition of the 2014 Internship Programme on “Performance Audit” on December 11 this year
This practical learning activity was planned and scheduled under the CCC 2014 Annual Operating Plan, and was previously carried out in the Superior Audit Office (ASF) of Mexico.
In this third edition, the attendance phase lasted three months (from September 15 to December 11), and five professional interns from four SAIs participated: Alexander Segura Segura from the Comptroller General’s Office of the Republic of Costa Rica ; Flor Emperatriz Carmona Rivas from the Court of Accounts of the Republic of El Salvador; Silvia Cristina Duarte Lucero from the Comptroller General’s Office of the Republic of Guatemala, Kenia Carolina Mendoza Turcios and Osman Humberto Irías Ramos, both from the Superior Court of Auditors of Honduras.
Through the direct participation of interns in the development of a performance audit, the programme imparted instruction, training and new knowledge, enabling the implementation of activities and the development of methodological, technical and managerial skills.
It is worth mentioning that the third edition of the internship programme has set a positive precedent in regional cooperation on issues of common interest, given the limited budget allocated by OLACEFS in 2014.
The CCC acknowledges the assistance provided by the ASF of Mexico, OLACEFS Executive Secretariat, GIZ and SAI beneficiaries.
OLACEFS CCC and the ASF of Mexico will presently make available the report on the third edition of the programme.
