In the context of the Program to Strengthen External Oversight in the Environment Area, which seeks to strengthen environmental governance in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting the continent’s Supreme Audit Institutions, GIZ is inviting applicants to fill the post of Coordinator of the Project to Strengthen External Oversight in the environmental area.

The aim of this project is to ensure that the Brazilian Supreme Audit Institution (the TCU), and other members of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions, efficiently fulfill their role of supporting good governance, particularly in relation to public investment in environmental matters.

As such, the project coordinator will be responsible for the project’s content and implementation, for ensuring correct financial planning, monitoring project activities, and submitting reports to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation And Development (BMZ).

Additionally the Coordinator will lead the project team in Brazil and assume overall responsibility for planning the contents, directing and executing the project, in coordination with the main executing agency, the Court of Auditors of the Union of Brazil (TCU).

The coordinator will also be in permanent contact with the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), in order to ensure the correct implementation of the part signed with that Organization, to ensure the achievement of goals and expected impacts.
