The Capacity Building Committee (CCC) and the Special Technical Committee on the Environment (COMTEMA) of OLACEFS, with the support of the Executive Secretariat in charge of the SAI of Chile, and the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ), have developed a distance learning course, in MOOC format (Massive Open Online Course), on the 2030 Agenda and the role of SAIs in the implementation of the SDGs. The goal is to train auditors so that they can understand the concept and characteristics of the 2030 Agenda, as well as provide subsidies to assist in the execution of audits with an SDG approach.
The course is available in three languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese and presents innovative pedagogical technologies, such as avatars, videos, gamification, storytelling, educational games and peer evaluations. Also, the participation of a tutor in the process is not planned and the participants will be able to carry out the course according to their personal availability.
It is worth mentioning that the course is not exclusive to the auditors. Any interested person who wants to know more about the 2030 Agenda and also about the contribution of SAIs to the effective implementation of the SDGs will be able to do so.
