The initiative consists in the preparation of a paper on the role of SAIs in the care of public resources. Proposals will be received until September 28.

A new version of the Regional Competition on Good Governance launched the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG) of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), open to all officials of the region’s SAIs.

The topic of the 2020 edition refers to the Role of SAIs in the face of the health crisis due to covid-19 and the control of public funds in the emergency.

They may participate individually or collectively. Paper must be submitted in PDF format and uploaded to the website of the Comptroller General’s Office of Accounts of Guatemala between August 24 and September 28, at 3 p.m. (Guatemala time).

A jury defined by the OLACEFS will choose three winners, who will receive the following prizes:

First place: US$2,000

Second place: US$1,500

Third place: US$1,000
