Prizes for the contest – held annually by the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG), chaired by Jesús Rodríguez, Auditor General of the Nation, Argentina – were awarded at the OLACEFS XXVIII General Assembly.

This year’s theme was Advantages of Using Big Data in the Audit Process, chosen as the result of a survey carried out on all OLACEFS members, commissions and working groups.

The jury was made up of officials from the World Bank, IDB, UNDP, the OLACEFS Information Technology and Communications Commission (CTIC) and a Big Data expert from Universidad del Valle, Republic of Guatemala.

The winners were:

First Prize: Luis Alberto Giraldo Polanía, John Wilson Parra, Yesid Cotrino, Manuel Dulce, Javier Tafur, officials from the Comptroller’s Office of Bogotá.

Second Prize: Hamlet Abel Morales Carcamo, Rodrigo José Berrios, officials from the Comptroller’s Office of Nicaragua.

Third Prize: Tamara Ernestina Gordon Goldberger, officials from the General Audit Office of Argentina.
