On Wednesday, May 13 at 12:00 p.m. (UTC-4) in Santiago, we continued with the Webinar Cycle in times of COVID-19. Having addressed such relevant issues such as “Telework and mental health,” “Telework and effective communication,” and “Organizational management during the crisis,” we will now learn how the Supreme Audit Institutions currently cope with control work at this time.

In this fourth session of our webinars, called “External Control and the Pandemic,” we will learn more about the fulfilment of the control work in the face of the current threat of COVID-19, under which it has been necessary to rethink the control function in the new scenario with the principle of “ensuring the good use of public resources.”

In this session we will have the participation of:

  • Jorge Bermúdez, lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Master of European Community Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Doctor of Law from the same University. He completed post-doctorate studies in Environmental Law at the University of Giessen (Germany) (2002-2003) and at the University of Heidelberg, Germany (2012). He currently acts as Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile and Executive Secretary of OLACEFS;
  • Mariela Azofeifa, holds a Bachelor of Political Sciences and a Degree in Collective Communication Sciences with an emphasis on Journalism and, holds a Master of Communication, with Magna Cum Laude mention. She currently acts as CGR-CR Press Chief. Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Costa Rica.
