Spain’s Institute of Fiscal Studies, IEF, is pleased to inform OLACEFS member SAIs of the launch of the 4th Official Master’s Degree in Public Finance and Financial and Tax Administration. Specialty: Financial Administration. This is a new version of the International Master’s Degree in Financial Administration and Public Finance that the IEF has been developing over the last few years. It has undergone a major overhaul and has been adapted to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
This university postgraduate program, specifically aimed at Latin America, is carried out in collaboration between the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales and the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). Other Spanish and international institutions will also participate, such as ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones; Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo (AECID); Intervención General de la Administración del Estado de España (IGAE); and Dirección General de Presupuestos de España (DGP).
The master’s degree has two specialties – one in financial administration and the other in tax administration. The Financial Administration specialty offers high-level academic and professional training in matters relating to the organization, design, planning and management of financial systems and their administrations, including trends and best practices in these fields. It aims to improve the design and execution capacity of budgetary policies, management and control of government spending. The approach is applied, from a comparative perspective.
The course will be held between September 2018 and September 2019. The dates in the information document (see link) are indicative and may vary depending on the course’s definitive start date.
The deadline for applications is May 29, 2018.
