The LXXI Ordinary Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions – OLACEFS, will be held on Tuesday, June 30 of this year, in which the SAIs of the Regional Organization will participate.

Due to the emergency situations that the countries of the region are facing because of covid-19, the Board of Directors of OLACEFS, in an extraordinary way, will meet online for the first time.

In this way, using information and communication technologies, which have constituted a valuable tool for effective communication in the isolation of countries, the LXXI Ordinary Meeting of the OLACEFS’ Board of Directors can be held.

The Presidency, represented by the SAI of Peru, and the Executive Secretariat in charge of the SAI of Chile, have extended the invitation to the SAIs of Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curaçao, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, in addition to the technical bodies such as the Capacity Building Committee (CCC), the Legal Advisory Committee (CAJ), the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG), the Special Technical Commission on the Environment (COMTEMA), the Citizen Engagement Commission (CPC), the Performance Assessment and Performance Indicators Commission (CEDEIR), the Commission on Information and Communications Technologies (CTIC), the Public Works Audit Working Group (GTOP), the Working Group on Disaster Control in the Framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (GTFD) and the Specialized Working Group on the Fight against Transnational Corruption (GTCT).

It should be noted that the current Board of Directors consists of the SAI of Peru (Presidency), Chile (Executive Secretariat), Uruguay (elected member 2019-2021), Brazil (elected member 2020-2022), Paraguay (EFSUR Presidency), Guatemala (OCCEFS Presidency), Colombia (Assembly Headquarters).
