The Technical Citizen Participation Commission (CTPC) has convened a workshop on October 1 and 2 in San José, Costa Rica, to define indicators for measuring the impact of citizen participation in the control process carried out by OLACEFS SAIs.
With the technical support of consultant Carolina Cornejo, an expert from Argentina’s Civil Association for Equality and Justice (ACIJ), the activity aims to create dialogue and consensus on the importance, value and benefits of citizen participation in the mission undertaken by SAIs, in order to build and validate the tools that measure the impact of such strategies and linking mechanisms.
The activity will bring together representatives of all the SAIs belonging to the CTPC, as well as a member of the OCACEFS Presidency and Executive Secretariat. There will be a total of 20 participants, members of the SAIs of Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Costa Rica.
The results will be presented at the XXV OLACEFS General Assembly taking place in Querétaro, Mexico, next November.
