Based on Article 15 of the Charter, the Presidency of OLACEFS is exercised by the Full Member Supreme Audit Institution, represented by its head, elected by the General Assembly, for a period of three years, without re-election.

Its powers and duties are detailed in Articles 27 and 29 of the Charter Regulations.

The Presidency of OLACEFS is exercised by the Supreme Audit Institution of the Republic of Paraguay, in the person of Dr. Camilo D. Benítez Aldana, Comptroller General of the Republic of Paraguay; unanimously elected within the framework of the XXXI Ordinary General Assembly of OLACEFS, in accordance with the Resolution N° 31/2022/AG dated September 23^rd 2022 in the city of Oaxaca de Juárez, México.

Camilo Daniel Benítez Aldana, is a Lawyer and Public Notary from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción, being part of the Honor Roll. Master in Legal Argumentation from the University of Alicante, Spain. Graduated from the Judicial School by the Council of the Magistracy of Paraguay. Doctor of Law from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción, with SUMMA CUM LAUDE qualification.

He has also served as Adjunct Professor of the Bankruptcy Course of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the National University of Asunción.

He has been a Second Shift Bankruptcy Syndicate Agent. Judicial Power. Years: 2011 to November 2016.

He held the position of President of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the countries of South America – EFSUR.

He was elected in 2016 as General Deputy Comptroller of the Republic of Paraguay to later assume the position of General Comptroller in 2019, completing the period 2016-2021. In November 2021, he was elected General Comptroller of the Republic for the period 2021-2026.
