The Commission for the Appraisal of Performance of SAIs and Performance Indicators (CEDEIR) was created by decision of the 10th OLACEFS Ordinary General Assembly, held in Brasilia in 2000, as a permanent technical body for the management of knowledge for the benefit of the organisation and the member SAIs on matters concerning the assessment of performance, strategic management and control.

Currently the Commission is made up of the SAIs of Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Peru, who also holds the chair.

One of the central tasks that has been taken on by the committee is the promotion of methodology for the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI-PMF), in coordination with INTOSAI’s Working Group on the Value and Benefits of SAIs, through the IDI.
