The INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) has opened to international applications for a number of job vacancies.

IDI is a non-profit organization that acts as secretariat for the capacity development of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Instsitutions (INTOSAI) and whose aim is to improve the institutional capacity of the SAIs of developing countries through training, exchange of knowledge and capacity building via development programmes based on addressing needs and of a sustainable and cooperative nature.

The Office of the Auditor General of Norway – OAGN has hosted IDI since 2001, in accordance with approval from the Norwegian parliament and in line with the resolution of the 16th INTOSAI Congress of 1998. The initiative is organised as a foundation in accordance with Norwegian law and comprises a steering committee and secretariat, the Secretariat of INTOSAI-Donor and the IDI Advisory Committee.

Deputy Director General -DDG- & Head of Capacity Development

The Deputy Director General (DDG) and Head of Capacity Development is a member of the IDI management team. The DDG is responsible for leading the capacity development team and for ensuring that the team follows IDI’s service delivery model as well as making sure expected results contribute to the achievement of IDI aims and strategic priorities.

Deputy Director General -DDG- and Head of Administration

The Deputy Director General (DDG) and Head of Administration is a member of the IDI management team. The DDG is responsible for ensuring that the IDI has stable and long term funding for its activities. The DDG will lead the administration group to ensure that the IDI has professional, efficient and cost effective internal control systems and that they provide a high level of support to IDI’s functioning and service delivery.

The Deputy Director General (DDG) and Head of the INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat is a member of the IDI management team. The DDG is responsible for leading the work of the INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat, ensuring delivery of its multi-year work programme and annual work plans, and reporting to the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee and Leadership Team. The DDG is also responsible for ensuring that the IDS follows IDI’s service delivery model and delivers the products and results that contribute to the achievement of IDI aims and strategic priorities.

Manager – E-learning and Web Solutions (MEW)

The Manager E-learning and Web Solutions will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining IDI’s learning management system and website. The MEW will also provide advice and support to regional INTOSAI groups and SAIs in developing countries for setting up their own e-learning platforms and websites. The MEW will work together with the Capacity Development Team to document IDI’s e-learning methodology and create regional groups of online tutors. The MEW will work together with the Capacity Development team and INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat in creating a portfolio of e-courses for IDI and groups of online mentors in INTOSAI regions.

Manager of Capacity Development – MCD

The OLACEFS Manager of Capacity Development is a member of the IDI’s Capacity Development Team. The OLACEFS MCD is responsible for planning, resourcing, implementing and monitoring, along with reporting on IDI capacity development programmes in OLACEFS in accordance with IDI’s Strategic and Operational Plans. The MCD may also manage other regional or global programmes. They will ensure that the programmes follows IDI’s service delivery model and deliver outputs and outcomes that contribute to the achievement of IDI aims and strategic priorities. The MCD will also be responsible for guaranteeing that all IDI rules and regulations are followed.

The OLACEFS MCD will also be IDI’s key link with a variety of stakeholders in OLACEFS and work with internal capacity development projects.

Manager – Evaluations – ME

The Manager – Evaluations (ME) will be responsible for evaluating IDI activities across its different functional areas such as the capacity development programmes, the INTOSAI-Donor Secretariat and the Administration. The ME will provide IDI’s Director General reasonable assurance that IDI processes and systems are in accordance with DI’s service delivery model and that the IDI’s performance is aligned to achievement of IDI aims and strategic priorities. The ME will also provide advice and engage in capacity development activities related to the evaluation of the IDI Secretariat and its stakeholders.
