The awards will be held during the XXIII General Assembly.

Activity was executed by the Scientific Technical Research Committee (CITEC), and the theme of the contest was Internal Audit, Public Ethics and Transparency: Government Control Components.

The evaluation of the 11 jobs that were received, the winners are:

1st place: Sonia Guadalupe Sorto de Miranda and Tilda Maritza Chicas de Villanueva, officers of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of El Salvador, with the theme “The role of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of El Salvador in the interrelation of Public Ethics, Transparency and Internal Audit as a mechanism to implement best practices to strengthen government control in public administration.”

2nd place: Tania Morán Domínguez and Jorge Palacios Salcedo, Officers of the Comptroller General of the State of Ecuador, with the theme State Control and State Participation and Citizenship. Structural Analysis of the Ecuadorian Experience in Government Monitoring Matters from the perspective of the System Joint Shafts: Internal Audit, Public Ethics and Transparency “.

According to the Tender, Prizes for winners are U.S. $ 3,000 and U.S. $ 1,500 for the first and second, respectively. Also, to one member of the group that won first place, OLACEFS will  finance the costs of travel and accommodation to receive the award in the XXIII Ordinary General Assembly to be held on in Santiago, Chile, from 8 to December 12, 2013
