The event was held in the city of San José de Costa, on August 26 and 27

The OLACEFS Regional Training Committee (CRC), chaired by the Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru, held the International Seminar on Sub National Income in Latin America in collaboration with the OLACEFS Support Program German Cooperation-GIZ and the Comptroller General of the Republic of Costa Rica.

The event was held on August 26 and 27 in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica, with the goal of sharing experiences and knowledge about the sub-national administrative policy, to identify the level of autonomy and how capabilities and resources are allocated to sub-national entities. Summoning more than 30 officials from the SAIs of: Argentina, Brazil, Belize, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, as well as some Sub-national EFS from Brazil and Argentina.

This activity responds to the CCR’s work plan, group responsible for creating and developing capabilities of SAIs in the region. Indeed, from the results that will be obtained in this Seminar, the CCR will implement various training and learning activities, such as internships, coordinated audits, peer reviews, pilot projects, and design of new virtual courses, among others.
