On February 13, 2019, the signing ceremony for the handover of the presidency of the Technical Commission for the Assessment of Achievement and Performance Indicators (CEDEIR) was held. CEDEIR is a technical body of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).

The formal act was attended by the heads of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru and the Court of Audit of the Republic of El Salvador, Nelso Eduardo Shack Yalta and Carmen Elena Rivas Landaverde, respectively. They expressed their intention to continue working on a joint project to support knowledge management within OLACEFS on issues relating to performance assessment and strategic management and its oversight.

Peru’s SAI presided over CEDEIR until December 31, 2018, being an active member of the aforementioned commission. Since January 1, 2019, it is has been presided over by the SAI of El Salvador. In this framework, the SAI of Peru, in its capacity as outgoing presidency holders, officially handed over the role to the SAI of El Salvador.

Previously, as per the timeframe set out in the operational guide for the functioning of committees, commissions and working groups, the SAI of Peru submitted the document archives put together during its term as presidency holders from 2012-2018, to El Salvador’s SAI.
