The Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (CAROSAI) held its first regional course to train IntoSAINT moderators, which took place on February 4 and 5, 2019, in Kingston, Jamaica. The training was given by Mexico’s Superior Audit Office of the Federation (ASF) in its capacity as presidency holders of the IntoSAINT Project Group for INTOSAI’s Goal 2.

Nineteen participating public officials from 19 SAI CAROSAI member SAIs were certified, namely: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, , Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Turks and Caicos. It is hoped that the officials, newly-certified in the INTOSAI integrity model, will conduct Integrity Self-Assessments in the CAROSAI member SAIs, as well as in public sector institutions in the region.

The same course has been implemented twice in OLACEFS, within the framework of the activities of the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG). For more information on the global and regional implementation of this tool, please talk to the ASF of Mexico, leader of the OLACEFS project and responsible for its global promotion.
