The Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG), presided over by Auditor General of the Nation of Argentina Jesús Rodríguez, presented the prizes for the contest “For the Recovery of Values”.

The theme chosen for this year’s competition was: The role and challenges of SAIs in the evaluation and analysis of public policies and their coherence with complying with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The jury was made up of experts on SDGs. It included representatives from the United Nations; from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), AC-Colombia – CTPBG consultant – and from the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile.

Seventeen submissions of a high academic level were presented.

The winners of the contest were:

First Prize:Tamara Ernestina Gordon Goldberger of the General Audit Office of the Argentine Nation

Second Prize:Carlos Miguel Gómez Márquez of the Superior Audit Office of Mexico

Third Prize:Ligia Carmina Vargas Nisthal and Ana Lucrecia Lima Mejía of Guatemala’s Comptroller General’s Office.

Special Mention:Natalia Berjecio, María Cecilia Rodríguez, Alejandra Stupenengo, Mónica Brito, Iliana Fernández Vilchez, Claudia Marciano, María Ethel Ockier of the General Audit Office of Argentina.
