On November 9, 10 and 11, 2016, a Workshop on Self-Assessment and Integrity (IntoSAINT) was held at the Office of the Comptroller General of Accounts (CGC) of the Republic of Guatemala, in Guatemala City. The workshop was moderated by Ezequiel Garibaldi and Euclides González, both officials of the CGR of Panama, which was acting as a cooperating entity.

In the context of OLACEFS, the IntoSAINT tool is being promoted by the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG). This initiative consisted of a workshop lasting three days and allowed SAI staff to assess both risks to the integrity of their institution and the degree of maturity of the measures implemented by the SAI to promote organizational integrity.

At the end of the workshop, the Panamanian moderators gave the Comptroller General of Accounts, Carlos Enrique Mencos Morales, and the Deputy Comptrollers of the CGC of Guatemala, a Self-Assessment Report containing the results of the activity undertaken over the three days, and the recommendations of workshop participants for consolidating integrity management in the organization. The results of the workshop will be useful for improving the internal processes of the CGC, allowing efforts to be focused and the process of strengthening relevant areas of institutional management to continue.
